Warranty
We stand behind our work. Every JB Outdoor project is backed by a workmanship warranty, the manufacturer warranties on the materials we install, and the statutory warranties required by law.
Workmanship warranty
We warrant our workmanship against defects from completion. If something we built fails because of our work within the warranty period, we'll put it right.
Warranty period: 3 years from date of completion or handover.
Materials and manufacturer warranties
The products we install — roofing, decking, fixings, powder-coated finishes and hardware — carry their own manufacturer warranties, which we pass on to you. We'll supply the relevant details for the materials used on your project.
Statutory warranties
On residential building work in NSW, the statutory warranties under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) apply, including that work is done with due care and skill and in line with the plans and specifications. These apply in addition to any warranty we give and to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Making a claim
If you think something's covered, contact us as soon as you notice it, with your name, project address and a description or photos of the issue. We'll assess it and, where it's covered, arrange to repair or replace the affected work.
What's not covered
Our warranty doesn't cover fair wear and tear, damage from storms, accidents or misuse, work altered or added to by others, or issues caused by a lack of the recommended maintenance — for example, not maintaining or re-oiling a timber deck. Following the care advice we provide keeps your warranty intact.
